The Elefantentreffen 2009 has concluded with teams Mmoto Racing and Team Elefantentreffen.org, riders Alessandro and Volfango Politi, finishing the fabled motorcycle tour through the icy Solla forest in Germany.
The numbers for this legendary tour, the Elefantentreffen, speak for themselves: 2000 km ridden in three days, crossing four nations with temperatures that can reach even 21 degrees below zero.
The vehicles used, Mp3 Piaggio and a military Ural 750 with sidecar make for an emotional journey, with many fans following the elefantentreffen.org site for live news and updates. Here are some of the first shots from the conclusion of the tour, with the riders reactions and bonhomie after a gruelling event.

Participating in the Elefantentreffen is not an easy ride, but for those who love a challenge, it can be rewarding. If you want to up the ante a little, you can even try the E.I.S. ElefantInSputer trip on board some old Italian postal scooters, as a group of 11 friends are attempting.
TwoWheels Blog will follow the guys from www.bandit.it, an online community, as they participate in the coldest bike meet in the world. As is most common in these projects, the idea came up through an online bar gathering of friends, where chatting about some wild plans can really get you into trouble.
