The Moto Guzzi Stelvio 1200 4V NTX is the last of the Mana 850 GT and Shiver 750 GT trio that made its debut in the Dolomites. In the following gallery, you can see the pics of the Stelvio road test with the stunning mountain backdrop.
With the new Stelvio 1200 4V NTX, Moto Guzzi introduces an important evolution on the “Quattrovalvole” engine to its maxi enduro range. The engine was created in 2006 and is universally considered the most advanced version of the legendary twin cylinder transverse V at 90°. Available in brushed magnesium, the Moto Guzzi Stelvio is on the market at a price of 14,660 euros.
This Stelvio version is one for great travellers, with a robust engine that’s responsive at both high and low revs, and that is ready to go the distance. It’s designed to withstand some of the hardest conditions, and has been updated with a new twin cam, lighter clutch and larger air box.

Here’s the official video of Aprilia’s new Mana 850 GT which, together with the Shiver GT (and the Moto Guzzi Stelvio 1200 4V NTX), has debuted on the Dolomite mountain range in Italy. In this enchanting natural scenery, more than 60 journalists from 15 countries are road testing the new Piaggio Group models over a 140 km course with 3,000 metres of altitude covered and 100 switch back corners.
The Mana GT 850 is famous for its Sport Gear transmission in a versatile bike that marks the missing link in an evolution of road and sports bike style that has broadened its appeal to a now wider market.
The transmission is a sequential/automatic shift and other features include radial calipers, upside-down fork and comfort elements such as helmet storage and adjustable windshield. It has ABS brakes and costs about 10,550 euros in its home market. Check out the huge gallery of the Aprilia Mana GT below.
We continue our Intermot 2008 coverage today and when I saw the photo of this model, I thought “wow!” - and it’s not just the red carpet. The Mana 850 GT is an evolution of Aprilia’s Mana 850, while maintaining some of our favourite aspects (including automatic transmission, radial calipers and upsidedown fork).
Some added technology in the chassis and shield of the bike provides added protection, while the engine is a twin cylinder, V at 90° with four valves and 76hp at 8000rpm. The Sportgear transmission is impressive, with two options: seven speed manual or Autodrive with Touring/Sport/Rain possibilities.
