Misano: Alice Team and Toni Elias ready

By koen

After the excellent performance of Toni Elias in the Czech Grand Prix, the Alice Team is ready for the next race at Misano. Alice Team Technical Director Fabiano Sterlacchini is happy to be back on track after the podium from Toni Elias.

Toni says: “Now the bad period has passed and we can be trustful for this final part of the season. Misano is a really fun track where last year I conquered seventh position. Not bad as a result but now, thanks to the feeling found with my Ducati Desmosedici GP8, I am sure we can fight for better positions.

“Physically I am really good thanks to the time spent with my family during the summer break. The top ten in the Championship is not so far and I hope to conquer it as soon as possible.”

Let’s wait for Sunday to see the performance of Toni after the changes on the Ducati and the last podium at Brno. And I hope we also get some news from Toni, will he stay or leave the team and go to World Superbike?

James Toseland blames tyres

By koen

James Toseland is blaming his tyres on a last disappointing round. He said: “We have six rounds left and there is still a lot can happen. We can’t be finishing at the back because at the start of the season my team-mate Colin Edwards was finishing on the podium. This is nothing other than a tyre problem. Unfortunately it’s out of my hands and to say it’s frustrating is an understatement.”

For Michelin it will be also an important race after the meeting organised by Dorna and all the riders questions. But Misano isn’t demanding on tyres. It’s a tight and twisting circuit with many medium to low speed corners.

Rossi wants to make up last years race.

By koen

Not only Stoner wants to win and gain many championship points in next weekend’s MotoGP round at Misano. Valentino Rossi wants to make up his disappointing breakdown in last year’s home GP. Rossi, leading the championship with 50 points over Stoner said: “Last year the race was a huge disappointment for us, a very low point of the season and especially because it happened in front of my home fans. But this time things are different; we’ve had two fantastic races in a row and we are feeling very strong and very confident.”

Misano is very close to Valentino’s hometown “Tavullia” and he’s expecting lots of fans at Misano. We hope the weather conditions will be good after last year’s rainfall.
