Or Randy de Puniet has suddenly become web savvy or maybe after five years in MotoGP and his horrible accident at this year’s Sachsenring GP, with the impressive comeback from his broken leg that grabbed alot of attention, has finally decided that a little personal PR is also good for him and sexy French accents can send female fans into a tizzy.
The French rider who is now riding for Pramac Ducati, is copying Chris Vermeulen habit of posting updates on Youtube and this time talks about his first day of testing on the Ducati Desmosedici. De Puniet is currently 9th in today’s time charts with a little less than two hours of testing left.
After yesterday’s small gallery of photos from the MotoGP Valencia test, with Valentino Rossi’s photos dominating the day, we’ve got another gallery from yesterday’s first day of testing but this time we’ve got pics of Ben Spies on the 2011 Yamaha, Cal Crutchlow on his debut with Tech3 satellite bike (sorry, no pics of his crash), Toni Elias with Lucio Cecchinello’s LCR Honda and Randy de Puniet and Loris Capirossi on the Pramac Ducati.
Today’s first day of MotoGP testing at Valencia was a big affair with most of the riders switching teams, but it was Valentino Rossi on his first outing on the Ducati Desmosedici that captivated websites around the world.
Here’s was some of the rider’s had to say after day 1, but don’t expect to read anything earth shattering because naturally everyone is “excited,” “happy” or “satisfied. ”
You won’t find quotes from Valentino Rossi and Loris Capirossi because they’re still under contract with their previous teams and can’t talk about the tests, so you’ll find quotes from Filippo Preziosi and Fabiano Sterlacchini in their place.

Here’s Valentino Rossi’s Dainese D-Air leathers that he’ll be wearing for the Valencia MotoGP tests, if he decides to get out on the track.
Still contractually tied to Yamaha, Rossi’s leathers will be black and yellow with his racing number and brand VR 46 prominently on display with his usual trademark sun and moon logos and the Italian flag.

While we’re waiting for the Valencia track to dry out and watching the riders hanging around the pitlane still dressed in mufti (you can watch the test on Italia 1 in streaming) we can show you the livery and leathers that Loris Capirossi will be using for the two day test. The Italian is still contracted to Suzuki, so he won’t be using the Pramac Ducati colors yet.
The first rider on track as soon as it drys out, should be Ducati’s test rider Franco Battaini who’ll give Rossi’s Desmosedici bike the first shakedown.
