Advertising agencies have decided that motorcycles and motorcyle riding is uber-cool. They use them to help promote anything under the sun, from cars, perfumes, to high end fashion and this latest commercial comes from Russia and uses a classic retro Kawasaki 650 to help sell Fotts fall and winter collection.
Check it out because the video is very well done.

Forget the “Red Bull gives you wings” slogan, energy drink Flying Horse has got the run at the moment for funny motorcycle commercials. In this video we see one serious sister take a sip, before completing a backflip on a motorcycle to get closer to God… all to the strains of Schubert’s Ave Maria.

The flaming wheels of the Norton Motorcycle in this ad are only really a small part of the Gucci Guilty commercial - the rest doesn’t leave much to the imagination to be perfectly honest. But it seems motorcycles are coming back into a heyday of cool and enjoying some product placement - especially after the Keira Knightley, Chanel and Ducati trio got things started. I’ll be honest and say I prefer this ad for its leather-clad subject matter…. and the retro, café racer Norton bike.

The Sussex Safer Roads partnership is doing some great stuff with their public awareness campaigns on road safety. This motorcycle safety video portrays the dreams of a little kid on a bicycle in his garage, who is lucky enough that his father comes home in one piece on his motorcycle that evening. The slogan “stay a hero, stay safe” should be a reminder to all the guys out there who will be riding their bikes this summer - many of you will have families and kids to go home to, who idolise what you do. The video comes after a a fantastic car safety ad about wearing seatbelts.

Yamaha Motors has launched this new ad campaign for the Super Ténéré XT 1200 Z, for those modern day Marco Polo explorers or Dakar riders that we’ve all dreamt to be at least once in our lives, with the tag line “Take your soul everywhere. And come back.”
It would have been nice if they had used one of the four new colors that they’ll debuting this year, the Competition White (in the pics and seen at the Verona Motor Bike Expo) or the Midnight Black, Viper Blue, or Silver Tech, which would have have also looked good in the Namibia desert.
This funny motorcycle video comes from Aprilia and takes a jab at those riding around on Italian superbikes just for the look of them (with Ducati in the number one spot on the list). We don’t need convincing that Aprilia makes damn good bikes, looks or not, and we’ll forgive the side-swipe at Ducati as apart from the recent Diavel, we think the latter makes pretty good bikes too. We love the swanky bachelor pad scenes as the build up but don’t want to spoil it for you - so check it out above and let us know what you’d pick for your “real man’s bike”.

Harley Davidson will be releasing three new models in 2011 by Harley Davidson, the XR 1200X, the Sportster Superlow and the Road Glide Ultra and four CVO’s ( Custom Vehicle Operations) limited-production motorcycles and with this commercial the Milwaukee manufacturer is obviously trying to target the younger generation of riders.
The commercial isn’t bad, but they could have spared us the amount of money that Americans spend on botox and male pedicures.
Yamaha’s best selling market is Indonesia, where they sell millions of low displacement motorcycles and scooters, hence the Indonesian words Semakin di Depan (meaning on the front or always on the front) logo that grace the Fiat Yamaha team M1’s and the riders leathers, has aired another commercial, but this time the Yamaha star is Jorge Lorenzo.
We have to admit that Rossi’s commercial was a little cuter, but we can’t wait to see Ben Spies next year selling Yamaha scooters.
This motorcycle commercial is so good it could easily be an advertisement for motorcycle safety, but as is, the guys from Allstate Insurance in the US have put it together. We gather than often shocking advertising in the US is not considered politically correct and the clever thing of this commercial is that you don’t see any violence actually inflicted on people.
Often motorcyclists and insurance companies don’t get along too well, either, but we get the feeling Allstate may have been able to connect in just the right way with its biker customers.

Check out this amusing and campy commercial that runs in the Philippines to launch the new Yamaha Vega scooter, but Yamaha’s ad pitch is even funnier:
Go! Go! Happy Vega!!! The newest member of Yamaha is finally here! The YAMAHA VEGA is well-known as the wonderful motorcycle that will make everyone in the family HAPPY! Sons will be proud to be called cool by all their friends! Daughters will be pleased at how easy it is to handle! Grandparents can go out longer dates because of its good mileage! Mom will be left smiling at its good value! The kids can head out together because of its comfortable tandem riding! Riding is great on any kind of road condition because of the powerful 115cc engine making Dad’s daily commute easier!
We now know everything about the Ducati Multistrada 1200 and the latest push from Borgo Panigale is advertising and here are two commercials that will be aired on Italian TV during the MotoGP races (we have a very small split screen to continue to watch the race during commercial breaks).
The commercials was filmed in the Canary Islands that offers a variety of breathtaking scenery that shows off the Multstrada’s four different types of riding modes: sport, urban, enduro and touring.
The commercials will also be aired in Germany and in the U.S. and after the jump you can see a shorter version of the commercial.
This is how Jordan Harris and Matt Freund from UCSB perceived how a Harley Davidson commercial should be. Funny, outrageous and different from any other Harley commercial we’ve ever seen.
