Voztec is an Australian company who is developing this revolutionary idea for a full face motorcyle helmet that has a quick release feature that could save lives in case of head and suspected spinal injuries.
This particular helmet doesn’t slid down over your head, instead it opens up in the back to allow you easy access and removal, however it’s the emergency release pin feature located on the top of the hemet that could be extremely useful in the unfortunate case a motorcyclist is involved in an accident, as paramedics will be able to release the pin and completely lift off the front of the helmet (that doesn’t have a chin strap) without risk moving the head and neck of the rider unnecessarily.

If you’re looking for something completely off the charts in helmet designs and visual gratification you may want to check out Hatari Helmets.
Hatari is the newest kid on the block in helmet designs and what makes them different from everyone else is that their graphics move with a life of their own, a dancer, cascading cherries, a blazing fire, fireworks, all moving on the back of the lid.
These graphics may be hypnotizing, but probably the most interesting model of their line-up is the ‘Shevinci’ ‘Traffic Signal Integration’ helmet that syncs wirelessly with your motorcycle’s turn signals and braking system making your intentions much more visible to other vehicles.
Check out the not so good quality videos after the jump.

Ever wondered how far motorcycle helmet tecnology and style has gone in these last forty years? New Max helmets shows you in this less than a minute video. Founded forty years ago Massimo Spriano, New Max still produces it’s Made in Italy high fashion and cutting edge helmets at Monferrato (Piedmont).
They’ve done motorcycle helmets for Piaggio, Momo Design, Gucci, Cromwell, Borsalino, Ferrari, Gucci, Trussardi and Fendi, Laura Smith and Ducati, and even if most may seem just high end brand names looking to cash in on motorcyle accessories, safety is always at the utmost.

One of the main problems while riding a motorcycle is the limited vision provided by a motorcycle helmet and Reevu Helmets has come up with an interesting solution with their MSX1 helmet which is known as the world’s first rear view helmet
Reevu’s patented Vision System is basically a small mirror (in polycarbonate, not glass) embedded over the brow of the rider. This rear-viewing device uses a small system of built-in mirrors to give the wearer a visual perspective that can be adjusted to fit the angle of view which includes objects directly behind them.
The helmet is European-UN ECE 22-05 homologated, so if this helmet has caught your interest you can find more info and where to buy it on www.reevu.com.
This is one of the most interesting things to come out on safety and helmet technology, its called ThermaHelm and comes from inventor J. Preston-Powers out of the Sussex University Innovation Centre.
Thermahelm incorporates a two packs of endothermic chemicals integrated inside the helmet lining and at the moment of impact the packs mix and trigger a chemical reaction that produces an instant ice pack that cools the head.
Research has shown that cooling the brain after a head injury reduces brain swelling and the risk of long term brain damage.
Thermahelm is looking to sell helmets with the packs already built-in, but they can retro-fit the system directly into your own helmet.

You’ve seen Borsalino’ the famous Italian hatmaker idea of motorcycle liveries on Bimotas DB6 and DB5 so take a look at their range of luxurious, high fashion jet helmets.
These fancy helmets may be okay while riding a Vespa or a Lambretta slowly around town, but we recommend a serious full face lid if you’re going to ride something like a powerful Bimota.
How to do you combine your love for motorbikes and safety with love for other sports?
Simple, with one of these Torneo Jet Helmets. These helmets faithfully reproduce four different sport balls: soccer, american football, volleyball, basketball and baseball.
Created by Andrea Righetti, Pierpaolo Barra and Matteo Tampone from Profilo Design company in Turin in Italy, these helmets are coated with PVC synthetic spreads coupled with a soft composite to obtain a soft touch effect. The shell is produced with HTR (High Tecnology Resin).
The helmets have a big visual impact and are soft to the touch, but are safe and comfortable and comply to safety standards and come in all sizes.
