The guys from Motoblog.it got themselves these live pics of the NCR Millona M16 model from the Bologna Motorshow in Italy. The Millona M16 was originally released back in June but it still holds its place as an exclusively designed, lightweight motorcycle. The whole thing exudes beauty and quality construction, and while the carbonfibre used obviously has its structural purpose, from a design perspective it lends an aggressive and futuristic air to the M16.
Other characteristics of this NCR creation include an exposed clutch setup, hand forged titanium exhaust and the scheletral trellis carbon frame through which we can spy the other components. Despite being a serious-looking sportsbike, the Millona M16 has an overall airy and lightweight style. It’s built off a D16 and it’s not known at this stage what kind of demand or production run there will be. In any case it’s an expensive and exclusive effort from NCR.
Here are more pics of the NCR Leggera model - described as the world’s lightest hypermotard with a price tag to match. The Leggera has been built off the Ducati Hypermotard and includes a swathe of titanium parts. It’s NCR’s first street legal bike although don’t expect to see many of these on the streets. We would love to see this in a racing context though, as at just 157 kg, it could be quite something to see.
For those wanting an even more extreme version, NCR also offers a tuning kit for the engine components that further reduces the bike’s weight by 19 kg. For all the technical details, check out our original post on the NCR Leggera.
This NCR Leggera 1200 Special is reportedly the lightest hypermotard ever made, using mostly titanium parts, and is also NCR’s first street legal bike. The Ducati Hypermotard it’s based on has been reduced by a full 57kg, and has even gained power in the process, up by 20 hp.
The 1100 Hypermotard has undergone modifications to most of its components, with the large majority of parts and the whole frame made from titanium. There is a ceramic-carbon front brake and the carbon fibre bodywork and wheels add to the weight reduction. Engine modifications include more titanium for the valves, magnesium engine covers, NCR race cams, and bigger bore cylinders making for 110 hp.
The minimalist, lightweight bike is pricey, coming in at £87,800 for the UK, although it’s on the NCR site at 76,000 USD. Which is basically in inverse proportion to its 157 kg weight. A full engine performance kit from NCR Corse is also available with 132 hp on a bike weighing just 135 kg. Specs and more details after the jump.

It was the talk of the web a few weeks back and finally NCR has unveiled their baby the Millona M16 in all her stunning beauty. It’s engine is based on the Ducati Desmosedici 16RR, but it weighs in at just 145kg (319lbs) and develops 200 plus horsepower at the rear wheel!
The M16 has been conceived as the most exclusive motorcycle in the world using the lightest and strongest materials available. The frame and swingarm, fuel tank, faring, subframe/tail, fender, front faring stay are all in carbon fiber, including the wheels.
The slipper clutch system is NCR’s own, a 6 speed lightened gear box, front and rear discs by Braketech AXIS/CMC in ceramic matrix composites, 2 piston Brembo Racing monoblock caliper, Ohlins FGR000 43 mm front suspensions with adjustable off-set, rear suspensions are progressive linkage with fully adjustable Ohlins TTX monoshock with length adjustment with everything tuned by NCR CORSE.
Twowheels presented the launch of NCR’s Mike Hailwood TT bike that was shown at the EICMA, but we thought we’d go back in time and show you how riders in Mike’s period enjoyed racing. Look at the video and imagine the way these heroes rode in a time that’s not that far away. These days we discuss corner speed and have electronics to control the bikes at incredible top speeds and brakes like never before. In the video is “Mike the bike Hailwood” in Belgian’s Francorchamps.
Besides the introduction of the Mike Hailwood TT bike, NCR’s Ducati 848 was also present at the EICMA in Milan. Twowheelsblog went to visit the NCR stand to shoot some pictures for you.
The NCR Ducati 848 was built through a collaboration with the US Ducati factory. The bike and team rode in the Parts Canada Superbike Championship in the Thunder Class and won the Championship with riders Valter Bartolini and Andrew Nelson in a perfect year, with seven victories and seven pole positions in seven races.
It’s possible to build your own Ducati 848 into the NCR 848 model, because all the parts are commercialised by NCR. To give you an idea about the way this great bike can be built, we give you a nice example.
Twowheels was present during the launch of the new NCR World premiere at the EICMA and talked with David Hailwood about the new NCR Mike Hailwood TT bike, which you can see in our Eicma gallery below.
David, standing together with his mother was emotional at the NCR stand. He said: “I just stared at the bike for 20 minutes when they took the cover off the bike. It’s all in my heart, it really gets me as well. It’s incredible, it must be a really powerful bike, I can’t wait to try it out on the track.
“It is undescribable for me to get words to talk about this. It goes about the attention, the emotion, the details, the precision of the project. I think the idea was born on the TT last year and since then it’s been developed. But for me it’s really a big surprise. You must know, that the day they launched this bike is on my mother’s birthday as well, it makes it all so very special to us.”

The NCR Ducati Team won the Canadian Thunder Championship riding a Ducati 848.
Twowheelsblog contacted NCR’s CEO Michele Poggipolini and here’s the interview we promised:
We know NCR from the Italian Supertwin Championship, Desmo Challenge, the Millona, New blue. Is NCR a race team or a manufacturer?
The Italian Supertwins, Ducati Desmo Challenge and all the other Open 2V races are extremely important to develop this Ducati kind of engine family. In four years NCR developed his own racing motorcycle, based on the Ducati 2V engine, the Millona, achieving impressive results and championships victories.
While we are still developing this Ducati engine and special parts for the Ducati bikes that use it, we are also focused on developing engine parts and kits for the new 4V Ducati engine family and the 84 is the project that started this development.

Dutch rider Bernice Sangers lives very close to the Assen racetrack. And she likes to show us how to ride a lap on the well known race track. They mounted a bullet camera on her Ducati 748 for this occasion.
Bernice is passionate about Ducati and she also races in the European Women’s Championship. Remember her podium?
You can learn from this video, looking at how she rides her fast laps. So look very well if you are also planning to have a ride at Assen in the future. The lap record from Berny is 1′55″.
On the pictures you can see Bernice on the racetrack and on the NCR Millona, she likes it all!
