We haven’t checked out an Oberdan Bezzi vision for a while, so here’s a look at his Bimota TB-1 675 motorcycle design effort. The Bimota model is designed to be a competitor to the new MV Agusta F3 - providing an attractive and alluring design that other bikes can’t match. The designer says:
The very valid 600cc Japanese bikes can’t compete in terms of fascinating and refined design and build; and the dynamic high performance of the Triumph Daytona 675 doesn’t have the same allure that makes for a dream bike.
And so we get the idea for a three-cylinder Bimota that can compete with the MV Agusta, using a 675cc engine and some good looking fairing. It will never see the light of day, but it’s an intriguing proposition all the same.

After reading about the rumor that Norton will be entering MotoGP in 2012, the famed motorcycle designer Oberdan Bezzi has come with his idea of what the Norton MotoGP bike should look like with this cool looking rendering.
Apparently the Norton rumor is not a rumor at all, because if you check out the cover of this week’s issue of MCN you’ll see a small headline stating that Norton is confirming their MotoGP plan with all-new four-cylinder bike.

While Italy was going all out in celebrating Max Biaggi’s 2 race win at Portimao, with the recurrent theme of an Italian on an Italian bike, Oberdan Bezzi dreamed of another Italian duo that he’d like to see get together.
Obiboicame up with this iconic rendering; the famous Martini racing colours on the Ducati Desmosedici’s livery and branded it with Valentino Rossi’s racing number and as he calls it: “the ingredients for an all Italian dream.”

Imagination has no limits, and neither do the photoshopping efforts of Oberdan Bezzi, it seems. The interesting digital creation Bezzi has come up with this time is a Wakan with a Royal Enfield 500 cc engine. The Wakan would normally be equipped with an S&S 1640cc V-Twin, but the new version has been dubbed the Wakan 500 Superlight.

Oberdan Bezzi has created this rendering of a Royal Enfield Bullet 500 enduro model. While he envisages a daily road model, we’d still be interested to see an off-road Royal Enfield. Bezzi’s version would be reliable, providing plenty of mileage, through its single-cylinder engine.
The original Bullet was a 1932 model with single-cylinder, four-valve engine, though in 1993 Royal Enfield brought out the Bullet 500, and we have also seen the Bullet Classic 500, which appeared last year.

Oberdan Bezzi has rendered this new Moto Guzzi racing bike, as a hypothetical inclusion to the overhaul in the Guzzi range we’ll be seeing by 2013, since news is that production will remain at Mandello facilities.
Lord knows what Moto Guzzi might bring in the coming years with the still legendary transverse twin-cylinder, but here Bezzi tries his hand at a couple of supersport models, including a naked version. The first is called Daytona R, the second is the Daytona S with more of a road feel, while the Sport 8V is his take on a modern cafe racer.

Ducati might be interested in new market segments, but it will probably be a while before they produce anything like this. A Ducati scooter might eventually be in the works and here is an interpretation from graphic designer Oberdan Bezzi.
It’s a provocative design of a Ducati 848 Scooter-S with ideas for a mixed automatic-manual transmission. We’d like to see a more traditional sports-style scooter, rather than this maxi-scooter with sporting elements. The Scooster name is meant to be a mix of scooter and Monster labels.

In reports from the Soloscooter site, it looks like BMW might be introducing an electric scooter to the market as early as 2011. This is after reports last year of BMW working on a Rotax-powered scooter.
Piaggio has just released its MP3 hybrid scooter and these reports of an electric BMW scooter can be seen as further proof that urban motoring is seriously taking on the challenge of less emissions and more environmentally friendly options. The BMW development may mean that the company abandons its twin-cylinder, petrol, and F800 modified engines.
While no official news is available, the lithium ion batteries would apparently produce a 200 km range and a speed of about 120 km/hr. We might see a prototype produced this autumn, while the vehicle wouldn’t be ready for the market until late 2010, early 2011. The above image has been designed by Oberdan Bezzi.

For a few years now, Bimota has exclusively adopted two-stroke Ducati twin cylinders, creating specialist products for a niche market. Since Ducati has also started orienting itself towards the same target, sometimes Bimota and Ducati models can overlap each other.
Which is why Oberdan Bezzi has suggested a radical solution: substituting the V2 90° desmodromico with the V2 87° corsacorta from Moto Morini. The engine is a modern twin-cylinder with impressive performance, and the fruit of this combination could by the MMB1 supersports sister of the DB7.
We imagine the price should be equally exclusive, but then when you’ve got the best of Made in Italy on a bike, you could expect that. Dreaming costs nothing, and we’re happy to fantasise about other powered by Moto Morini models.
In another design effort from Oberdan Bezzi, here’s a Ducati Hypermotard with a serious engine: the four valve “testastretta” evolution of the 848. While the engine dimensions are a little oversize for a motard, the 100 hp would certainly be something to feel on the road.
The two valve 1100cc is a more ready engine at lower revs, but it’s hard to say to no to absolute power…
Designer Oberdan Bezzi has decided to create an even more agressive Triumph Thunderbird 1600, which has only just entered the market. Described as a “traffic light burner”, here’s a look at a different Thunderbird rendering.
It has 1700cc, squared exhaust, sports wheels and superbike suspension, and has been renamed “Hurricat”. Here the crowning rule is “big is beautiful”. Your thoughts?
