Roberto Rolfo through his official website has revealed the livery that Pedercini SBK team will be using to contest in the 2011 championship.
The livery on the ZX-10R is the classic Kawasaki green, with some black and white detailing in this fourth year that Pedercini has been using the Ninja.
Next week the team will be at Phillip Island for official testing before the season opener with Rolfo, and Australian stars Mark Aitchson and wild card rider Bryan Staring, who is under contract with the Italian team in the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup.
Gabor Talmacsi lost his Moto2 ride after the Jack& Jones by Antonio Banderas team dropped out of the 2011 championship after losing their title sponsor, was invited to Sepang to test for Pedercini’s Kawasaki team to see if he could come to grips with the ZX-10R.
Apparently due to the rain and the fact that team was rightly concentrating their efforts on contracted rider Roberto Rolfo, Talmacsi didn’t get enough time on the bike, the Hungarian has still to decide if he actually wants to switch to the World Superbike championship and has stalled in giving his final decision to the Italian team, calling for a couple of days of think over time.
With official Superbike tests at Portimao taking place in two weeks time and the season opener at the end of February and no other offers in sight, Talmacsi will have to decide if he actually wants to compete or if retiring is really the only other option.
Our opinion is that there are a lot of unemployed riders out their looking for a job who’d kill for the opportunity.

Gabor Talmacsi may be at a crossroads in his career, but not wanting to leave any stone unturned and despite revealing that the World Superbike championship is hardly known in his native Hungary.
Talmacsi is still deep in talks with Pedercini, and has decided to give superbikes ago, pending a test with the Kawasaki ZX-10R. The Hungarian rider will be joining the platoon of Kawasaki superbike and superstock riders (Tom Sykes, Joan Lascorz, Chris Vermeluen, Stuart Easton, Katsuaki Fujiwara, Roberto Rolfo, Marco Bussolotti, Leandro Mercado and Bryan Staring, who’ll all be at the Malaysian track from January 10th to 14th.
According to Lucio Pedercini, Talmacsi asked to join the test session at Sepang in order to get the feel of a 1000cc 4-stroke superbike on track, as his previous experiences with a four-stroke has only been with a Moto2, before deciding if his future, wanting to be sure that he could also be competitive in this category.

After spending half of 2009 riding a Moto2 in the Spanish CEV with Siemens Gigaset Laglisse team and taking part in the inaugural Moto2 championship with S.T.R, Italtrans team, Roberto Rolfo is returning to the big bikes and the World Superbike Championship with the Pedercini team.
Roberto Rolfo will ride the new ZX-10R in 2011 and it looks like Kawasaki believes in their new machine and it will finally make a difference on the grid.
Roberto Rolfo :“I’m really very happy to return to the Superbike championship. My three years’ experience in this fascinating and competitive championship was unforgettable and I will try my best to improve my preceding results. I immediately established a good feeling with the entire Pedercini family. They are reputable professionals and we are on the same wavelength concerning next year’s targets. I decided to leave Moto2 because I’m eager to ride the new Kawasaki ZX10R and take advantage of all its great power. It feels grand to be back in Superbike and I’m determined to put a good season together next year. I’m looking forward to testing the new bike very soon and getting familiar with it while also getting to better know my new team. This will be my very first time on a Kawasaki bike”.

If we were to place a rider in a top ten 2010 horrid season list, it would have to be Andrew Pitt. The two times world supersport champion and veteran world superbike and MotoGP rider started this season with Reitwagen Motosport BMW world superbike team that folded after just three rounds due to funding problems leaving him high and dry.
Pitt later found a ride with Rob McElnea’s BSB Motorpoint Yamaha team replacing the retiring Neil Hodgson and Ian Lowry, but two months later fractured his collarbone during Race 2 at Brands Hatch and then was dropped from the team, with no place to go after recovering from surgery.
The latest rumors however, have the Australian returning to World Superbike championship with Kawasaki privateer Pedercini Team. Apparently Kawasaki wants to make a big splash in 2011, because after announcing a three rider factory effort with Chris Vermeulen, Joan Lascorz and Tom Sykes, it seems they’ll also be supplying the 2011 ZX-10R to Pedercini.
