Fans can mourn the passing of MV Agusta’s President Claudio Castiglioni in many ways, but we admit that Eugenio on his Brutale 910R has come up with a very fitting tribute in using one of Castiglioni’s famous phrases: There are a lot of beautiful motorcycles in the world, but MV Agusta is another thing.”

We’ve seen motorcyle sculptures made with ice, sand or anything that can be molded into shape, but this has to be a first, Valentino Rossi’s Ducati made with artichokes.
These photos were taken by Salvatore during the 61st Romanesco Artichoke Festival held at Ladispoli and evidently the Rossi-Ducati pairing captures Italian imaginations far beyond racing fans, despite his so far under performance on the red machine.

Remember Jonathan Rea’s crash during race 1 at Monza (video of the crash after the jump) where he couldn’t find his Honda CBR 1000RRand began searching for it in the gravel trap?
The bike landed over the tire barrier and could have been taken directly to the local scrap yard, as you see from this pic by Andrea.

To celebrate their titles, here are the 2010 MotoGP World Champion Jorge Lorenzo and Moto2 World Champion Toni Elias giving a wild celebration party at the Luna Bar in Kuala Lumpur, where everyone ended up in the pool naturally singing “We are the Champions.”

While we were more or less falling asleep with the MotoGP race at Brno, the AMA Pro Racing Daytona Sportbike series had this thrilling end to their race 1 at the Virginia International Raceway on Saturday.
Bobby Fong #30 on his Ducati 848 vs Martin Cardenas #36 on his Suzuki GSX-R600. The pair crossed the line side by side with Fong declared the winner by 0.001 of a second, that even with this photo finish shot makes it hard to decide who actually won.
We’re glad that we weren’t in AMA Pro Road Racing Race Director David McGrath shoes when he had to make this solomonic decision.

Twowheels is calling on our readers for help. We want to know if this is it really a functional motorcycle and eventually who modified it or is it just a stage prop used by the German pop/rock group Tokio Hotel in their Humanoid City Tour?
Check out the video after the jump to see the motorcycle on stage during Tokio Hotel’s performance in Rotterdam.

We can imagine that BMW’s rider Ruben Xaus couldn’t wait to take the first flight out of Australia and put this last weekend at Phillip Island behind his back.
Xaus binned his S 1000 RR three times during Friday’s practice leaving him no spare bikes to ride and during Sunday morning warm-up slammed into the back of Noriyuki Haga’s Ducati at turn 1.
Both riders managed to escape serious injuries, but doctors and BMW’s team manager Davide Tardozzi probably though it was better that the Spaniard withdraw from the first round especially after Xaus said he felt disorientated.

Do you ride all year long, in the rain, wind, and cold? If so, then these hand guards can keep your hands warm and better protected.
They can be found in any referigerator and are very simple to install with no modifications needed to your motorcycle. They’re made of a high density plastic for strength and maybe they could even protect your clutch and brake levers in the event of a fall.

We usually like ingenuity, but this has to be made by someone who has two left thumbs and failed Carpentry 101. Maybe a veneer finish would make this wooden GPS holder (?) look a little better, but we have our doubts.

Our pic of the day is this motorcycle mama, uhm, grandma, who’s probably been around since they invented motorcycle clubs and events or she borrowed her grandaughter’s hot pants.
