Here is a new Arai replica helmet. The new Doohan TT Replica was worn by the Australian rider at the 2011 Tourist Trophy lap of honour, and Arai is now putting it into production, based on the RX-7 GP model. The model is Arai’s top-of-the-range helmet and the Doohan replica design has been created by Drudi Performance.
The design reflects Mick Doohan’s 500cc championship victories from 1994 to 1998 and also carries the TT logo and the island’s symbol. On the back of the helmet the course is drawn and the words “Mountain Course” written in gold lettering. After the Arai Parade Lap this year, 500 “Isle of Man TT” helmets a year will be produced by Arai, with some proceeds going to the competition organisers.
The Arai Doohan TT Replica helmet will be a limited edition and will have the price tag to match its exclusivity. It’s expected to retail in Europe for about €949.

“For a rider, a helmet is also a canvas to be painted,” says Valentino Rossi, and for the 9 times World Champion this statement has been a mainstay for his entire career. The graphics that Aldo Drudi has designed for Rossi over these last years have been the most original and talked about designs ever seen on a Grand Prix grid.
Now Italian helmet manufacturer AGV has launched a special edition and in limited numbers, the GP Tech Rossi ELEMENTS helmet that he’s been using since his move to Ducati (which hasn’t exactly brought him luck) after abandoning the Five Continents design that he used for three entire seasons.
The “ELEMENTS” helmet features the famous sun and moon design that has been the theme of all of Valentino’s primary helmets, the classical elements; Earth, Fire, Water and Air are represented in the rays of the sun and give the graphic its name. The rear of the helmet features Valentino’s trademark 46 over the moon that is partly made of the colours of the Italian flag.
As everyone knows Rossi replica helmets don’t come cheap and this newest edition retails for £499.99.
This Carlos Checa replica helmet from X-Lite is quite elegant, as far as motorcycle helmets go. The X-802 Black Replica Carlos Checa will debut at this weekend’s Silverstone Superbike round where Checa’s helmet go from blue to a matte black look with the world map designed on it. With input from Checa, each image on the replica helmet tells a story.
The gutsy rider has included animals on the helmet to represent his love of nature, the continents reflect his feeling of being a global citizen, and in the middle of the helmet is a compass rose. The Black X-802 Carlos Checa replica has been included in the 2012 X-Lite collection and will be available on sale from September.
We’re dubbing Valentino Rossi’s 2011 Mugello helmet “The Eye” although we gather that’s not its official name. In any case, there will be an AGV Rossi Mugello replica version to celebrate the helmet there’s no way we’d want to ride behind. The Aldo Drudi-designed helmet was made as an ironic take on Rossi’s last fatalistic Mugello round, and as a message to Rossi and Ducati fans to keep on eye on them because things can change (hoping for more positive rounds in the future).
The Mugello helmet features a big eye, the Italian flag to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Italian unification, and Rossi’s dogs with the words “the chihuahua tribe”, photographed by the rider himself. The AGV Valentino Rossi Replica Mugello 2011 looks like it will get a production run, so keep your eye open for more details in the future.
New Arai RX-7 replica helmets are available. Using the same Monster HJC R-PHA 10 Ben Spies replica helmet by Aldo Drudi, we get new Cal Crutchlow and Leon Haslam replicas. The Crutchlow helmet is based on the same RX-7 GP model the British has been wearing in this year’s MotoGP and last year’s Superbike season. The colours are typical of Monster Energy and include extra graphics by Aldo Drudi with flame lines and a glittery finish.
The Leon Haslam replica helmet is the same RX-7 GP model that the rider used when he came second in last year’s Superbike championship, and the same model that he’s using again this year. The design is also by Drudi and has a black gloss background and huge white “H” that adorns the front curvature of the helmet. Asymmetric floral graphics complete the design. Both replica helmets have a five-year guarantee and in sizing from XS to XXL, they costs about 949 euros each.

Arai has launched its new full face helmet, the Kevin Schwantz replica. The replica helmet uses the colours from the world champion’s 500cc, 1993 season, adapting the Arai Chaser model to a replica.
The new little gem will be available in coming weeks on the English market in two different colours (fluoro and normal), with the number 34 in full view on the back. Sizes available range from XS to XXL in two colours, at a price of about 590 pounds (around 657 euros).
While this might be a Giacomo Agostini replica helmet, we recommend you don’t go attempting any re-enactments of the rider who won 123 gran prix and 160 podium appearances from 187 races. It will make you feel part of history, though.
The AGV Ti-Tech Replica Giacomo Agostini is a helmet of the same model and materials used by Valentino Rossi. The Agostini Replica is a full face helmet with SSL (Super-Super-Light) Kevlar Carbon shell in two different sizes.
The helmet is fitted with IVS (Integrated Ventilation System) with titanium air intakes and internal lining that can be removed and washed. The ventilation system combines with the cool max lining for better breathing and hygiene. It comes with a Race visor in clear polycarbon, with anti-scratch, anti-fog and tear off features.
