“For a rider, a helmet is also a canvas to be painted,” says Valentino Rossi, and for the 9 times World Champion this statement has been a mainstay for his entire career. The graphics that Aldo Drudi has designed for Rossi over these last years have been the most original and talked about designs ever seen on a Grand Prix grid.
Now Italian helmet manufacturer AGV has launched a special edition and in limited numbers, the GP Tech Rossi ELEMENTS helmet that he’s been using since his move to Ducati (which hasn’t exactly brought him luck) after abandoning the Five Continents design that he used for three entire seasons.
The “ELEMENTS” helmet features the famous sun and moon design that has been the theme of all of Valentino’s primary helmets, the classical elements; Earth, Fire, Water and Air are represented in the rays of the sun and give the graphic its name. The rear of the helmet features Valentino’s trademark 46 over the moon that is partly made of the colours of the Italian flag.
As everyone knows Rossi replica helmets don’t come cheap and this newest edition retails for £499.99.
