The documentary called One Crazy Ride from Dirt Track Productions is the story of five Indian bikers from the 60kph Motorcyle Travel Club and the situations and hostile terrain they found while riding along uncharted roads in the Himalayan state of Arunachal Pradesh, situated in North-east India.

In a town out west of the range, in the afternoon sunlight of a winter’s day, we came across this lovely Royal Enfield Bullet 500es. The town is one of only 3000 people, and the bike is the transport of choice for the town’s doctor.
The Bullet is an old model for Royal Enfield, first built in 1932 with its four-valve, single-cylinder engine. The Bullet 500 itself was first launched in 1993, becoming the most popular Royal Enfield Bullet model for that decade. It’s said that the Bullet pictured is a single-cylinder, 300cc model, but I haven’t had that confirmed. Any idea of the year and specs?
The “Captain” of Royal McQueen, Bologna (the first single-brand Royal Enfield dealer in Italy), Andrea Fontana, is presenting the “Indian”: his new Special Edition Royal Enfield. The single edition motorcycle is a homage to the 1950’s partnership between Indian Motorcycles and Royal Enfield.
Created using the Sixty-5 Royal Enfield as a base, the Indian has been designed with ochre colour, apart from some components in opaque black. The Special also has some other modifications compared to the orginal, including stiff forks, mudguards, headlights, the seat and more.
You know you’re riding a single edition special when you’ve got “Indian/Royal Enfield 1950s Royal McQueen 2009” written on the air filter. As with all models built by the “Capitano” this has the brand registered on the tank “Built with Aloha”.
