Econogo is a UK company that has launched an electric scooter called the Yogo available in 50cc and 100cc engine sizes and is the world’s first electric scooter that is powered by removable batteries.
Using a detachable and portable lithium battery will make recharging a much simpler and a faster task (it takes just one hour, far less that other batteries that take from 4 to 8 hours) and you can store a charged spare that can double your mileage range.
Econogo claims that the Yogo’s 11kg 50V battery will power the scooter for 22 miles with top speeds of 30mph and 40mph respectively.

This bling bling studded Kymco”Mitch” scooter was featured at the at this year’s 37th Tokyo Motorcycle show. 100,000 Swarovski crystals went into this piece of craftmenship and we bet that if it was ever ridden on the road it would certainly turn several heads, as Devas Bling’s Harley Davidson Sportster Nightster did.

The Tokyo Motor Show is an opportunity for the big four motorcycle manufacturers (due to the economic situation, Kawasaki isn’t going to be present this year) to show off their new models and for us to see what they’re up to with ideas for the future of two wheel transportation.
Besides the Gladius 400 ABS Suzuki will also be exhibiting the Burgman Fuel Cell Scooter, step further from their hydrogen prototype Crosscage that they revealed in the 2007 show.
The fuel cell is air-cooled and concomitantly light, compact, and structurally simple. A 70MPa hydrogen tank (the highest-pressure tank used on a bike thus far) allows a usable riding range. And the tank is mounted within a robust frame for safety.
After the jump check out the Crosscage from 2007.
French scooter tuning house MXS Custom has come with this two stroke 172cc prototype scooter dragster named the 2Evil. Aluminum frame, Piaggio DNA engine, Malossi Overange kit and Roost exhaust system tailor made for the 2Evil and it does 150 meters on the strip in a little less than 6 seconds
After the jump, check out the 2Evil in action during the DSSC (Deutsche Scooter Sprint Comitee) who organizes scooter drag races, this one was at Hoxter in Germany.

Safety always, even for your dog.
