Moto3 that will replace the 125cc GP class in 2012, is garnering attention and several companies are well on their way such as Honda with their NRS 250, KTM’s prototype seen testing at Cartagena, Ioda Racing’s TR001, and ADV’s AT03-1.0.
The newest addition to this list is Sherco, the French company known for it’s enduro and trial bikes who have teamed up with Franco Moro, a former tech in Aprilia’s racing department and now runs Moro Racing to come up with this Moto3 bike, dubbed Sherco MR3 GP11 (where MR stands for Moro Racing).
The MR3 GP11 is based on Sherco’s SE 2.5i-FR 250cc single cylinder engine that Moro has modified for road use, adding his using his own specifically designed chassis.
The racing bike should be ready to interested teams for the first tests towards the end of February with different braking systems, suspensions and wheels available.
