X-Lite has released its new X-402 Banner N-Com helmet. The X-Lite jet helmet is perfect if you’re looking for something new for your summer motorcycle gear range, adaptable enough for both touring and city scooter use.
The X-402 Banner N-Com has a composite fibre shell which comes in three sizes: XS/S, M/L, XL/XXL. The internal lining is made from Unitherm Light fabric with removable cheek padding and the possibility of including the new N-Com X-Series communication system.
The X-402 visor is wide and aerodynamically designed, with Nolan Fog Resistant technology. It’s made from Lexan OQ (from Sabic Innovative Plastics). The internal sizing ranges across the six sizes noted above, and the new helmet costs about 409 euros.
Summer motorcycle gear is here with the Clover jacket and glove range for both men and women. The Airtek range has been specifically designed for summer riding and we can say here in Europe, it’s definitely time to get your bike out if you haven’t already.
The Airtek-2 jacket is made from Cordura fabric with external waterproofing and ventilation zones both front and rear. It has inbuilt but removable CE protection for both elbows and shoulders, with climate control lining and a fold-away wet jacket in a rear pocket.
The Airtek-2 jacket is available in sizes S-XXXL for men and XS to XL for women. Colours include black, beige and grey at pricing of about 240 euros.
We had some bad spring weather in Europe this year and so most riders are rearing to go for summer. The usual brands for your summer motorcycle gear are available although there are some interesting novelties on the market. Dainese has released its “Air” range - designed as light, breathable clothing so you can enjoy just enough of that breeze when riding.
The Shotgun Tex (don’t you love the name?) jacket is a light jacket with plenty of air ventilation, made from Mugello elastic fibre. The internal lining has silver ions to maintain hygiene. Protective padding is included on the shoulders and elbows and there is room for a back shield as well. The jacket has a zip across the bottom to connect it to trousers and it costs about 219 euros.
The New Drake Air pants can be matched with the jacket. They are made from Cordura Comfort material and have adjustable zips around the waist and legs, and internal thigh zips for more ventilation. The Sanitized lining completes the same attention to hygiene seen on the Shotgun Tex jacket and the New Drake Air Pants also have two front and one rear pocket. They cost about 179 euros.
