Here’s Race 1 and 2 in video from the British Superbike round at Thruxton. Again the guys at BikeChannel have got themselves some great pit lane and grid access for a few interviews before the racing. Josh Brookes from the HM Plant Honda took out the top spot in the second race, followed by Tommy Hill with Worx Suzuki, Stuart Easton with Swan Honda and closing out the top four was Ryuichi Kiyonari also with HM Plant Honda. In overall standings, Hill is in first place followed by Brookes and Easton. See the Race 2 video after the jump.

This lovely understated tuning on the Triumph Bonneville gives it a little more character, and a whole lotta new sound (see the video after the jump). The handlebars are lowered, the front mudguard has been removed and the rear mudguard has been designed and built by hand, with a dedicated taillight.
Other features are the Thruxton seat and “Blunt” exhaust terminals made by Bruce Sinclair, who is the owner of this Triumph Bonneville. The only further modification has been the use of Matt Black paint, rather than shiny black.
The reason for the change in exhaust is that, according to Sinclair, the Bonnevilles of today don’t sound like the real Bonnevilles of the past. He designed smaller exhaust outlets, built with pieces of originals, to give more of a 60’s sound. He has certainly managed that! Check out the video below.
A few days after the presentation in England, we now have the first official shots of the Modern Classic & Cruiser twin cylinder m.y 2009.
All the news has been included including Bonneville, Bonneville SE, Bonneville T100, Thruxton, Scrambler, America and Speedmaster.
Starting with the Bonneville we have 865 cc, 67hp and a black engine with a 70’s look. For the SE options such as the brushed finish for the carter is are available, which for the T100 we have a more 1960’s look with chrome carters.
