Your pics: touring Italy on a motorcycle, the Val d'Adige

By Alison

Hyper giretto in Val d'Adige

These photos come from reader Federico and his motorcycle tour of Italy’s Val d’Adige. He often takes his trusty hypermotard for a ride, saying “when passion calls, the motorcyclist responds”. This tour through the Dolomites looks a little cold, with 500 km of riding moutain roads.

If you’ve got a favourite tour, we’re happy to share it. Send your funny, bizarre or surprising pics to us and we’ll post them, with your name. We’d love to share what you guys find in the world of motorcycling! Send to: pics@twowheelsblog.com.

MV Agusta Factory Club 2009

By Alison

Programma 2009 per MV Factory Club

The MV Agusta brand has always had some glorious activities for its dedicated customers, and a few days ago the first draft of the 2009 program for its Club Factory clientele was released.

The overture is planned for the opening of the motorcycling season, with a guided factory visit on offer in April, which will include a look at the MV Agust Brutale and supersports F4 models. The day will then continue to a group ride around the local area.

In May the same visit will repeat in Tuscany, passing to June where a ride along the legendary Misano Adriatico is planned. July sees a visit to the Dolomites and September sees a beautiful trip along the Costa Azzurra with all itineraries organised including accommodation, dinners and tours.

The trips have been carefully planned for riding pleasure with plenty of cornering involved for your favourite MV. If you wanted a motorcycle tour of Italy, doing it with MV Agusta could be a good option - you’ve just got to get the bike and join the club!

19th Motogiro della Strega: touring Italy by motorcycle with 2000 riders

By Alison

Grande successo per il 19° Motogiro della Strega 2008

Italy is a country with plenty of motorcycling fun to be had, particularly thanks to the number of meets organised by various Italian motorcycling clubs across the peninsula. For the Motogiro della Strega, organised by the Motoclub Valle Argentina, more than 2,000 participants turned up.

2,153 riders started their registration with breakfast at Taggia, before riding to Isolabona, passing through Molini di Triora, Langan and Pigna. With stops at Apricale Bajardo, San Romolo and Coldiroli, the event concluded with lunch at Ospedaletti.

It appears that touring Italy by motorcycle is the way to go! The next event of the Moto Club will be in March next year, with the blessing of the bikes before the 2009 season starts.
