Here at TwoWheelsBlog, we just love Travis Pastrana. All his crazy ideas, wild motorcycle stunts keeps us entertained and always asking for more, and even if this year’s Red Bull: New Year. No Limits event was done on four wheels instead of two, we’d thought you’d like to see Pastrana do a world record jump anyway.
Way to go Travis! What a way to ring in the new year!
Thankfully Travis Pastrana has a 199 lives. ‘cause everytime this freestyler does one of his crazy stunts like this backflip across two buildings for MTV’s Nitro Circus, we personally lose a couple of heartbeats.
Pastrana will be doing this year’s Red Bull: New Year. No Limits stunt. He’ll be using a rally car instead of a motorcycle and will try to break and establish a new world distance record, jumping from ramp to ramp over water; from the Pine Street Pier onto a barge anchored in Long Beach’s Rainbow Harbour. The existing record is 171 feet
You can check out the video teaser of the upcoming New Year’s Eve event after the jump.

The Shoe Bike, the ultimate customization, a FMX Suzuki bike that instead of running on tires, runs on pairs DC shoes and who else but Travis Pastrana could come up with something like this for an episode of MTV’s Nitro Circus. Check out the blackflips and especially the burnout at the end of the video.
We doubt that big name tire manufacturers have to worry that DC shoes will be branching out in the tire business very soon.
We all know that Travis Pastrana is kind of nuts and one of the best or maybe the best freestyler daredevil in the world, so check him out while he jumps over the spinning blades of helicopter in Sydney.
The jump was a promo launch of the Australia Nitro Circus Tour that will literally take off in May 2010.

Check out what happened in this highlight video from X Games 15 for the best trick and watch everyone’s favourite Travis Pastrana crashing out while attempting the “Toilet Paper Roll”.
Kyle Loza took first and the gold with his “Electric Doom”, and yes it was exactly the same trick that got him the gold medal in last year’s games.
Who else but Travis Pastrana can do this? These have go to be the lowest back flips in the world.
You know how we were saying that Travis Pastrana needs all the extra lives he can get? Well here’s proof in this amazing rally crash Pastrana had a few years ago in Colorado. Maybe he should stick to freestyling, cars being a dangerous option!

You don’t need to watch the whole video to know why this is called “199 Lives” - a documentary of pure adrenalin dedicated to Travis Pastrana. The opening scene is of Pastrana sky diving pratically naked with the voice over: “My name’s Travis Pastrana and I calculate risk for a living”. Do we think he’s crazy? You bet we do! But still, he will remain one of the greatest freestylers ever. Enjoy the opening to the Pastrana documentary video.

Travis Pastrana is a motorsports competitor who has won championships and X Games gold medals in several events, including supercross, motocross, freestyle motocross, and rally racing, but once in awhile he enjoys being just a crazy daredevil.
Watch as he rides a child’s tricycle down a huge ramp, then manages a backflip just before he hits the ramp on the other side.
The video is labeled as his third attempt, so I was just wondering how the first 2 went.
The fact at the end of the season we will the sad event of Troy Bayliss‘ retirement from the world of two wheels, doesn’t mean that the Australian rider will completely abandon the sport. In fact, for Bayliss occasions to enjoy himself in motorcycle land won’t be lacking, such that the next occasion will arrive quite soon.
