Two brands, Triumph and TAG Heuer have teamed up to create this special Bonneville Heuer motorcyle.
It’s distinctive blue and orange livery on the Bonneville was inspired by the Gulf Porsche 917 driven by the one and only, King of Cool, Steve McQueen in the 1971 movie Le Mans, which in turn inspired TAG Heuer’s 40th anniversary Monaco watch.
This special Bonneville Heuer was presented in Paris, in the presence of Lewis Hamilton, 2008 Formula One World Champion and other TAG Heuer testimonials.

Remember Prince Harry showing up at the British MotoGP? Well, it was Rizla Suzuki’s rider Chris Vermeulen who invited Harry to the Donington races after seeing a picture of the Prince wearing a replica of his own racing helmet.
Vermeulen presented the Prince with the original helmet that he wore during the race and another one for William and third helmet for charity. The MotoGP rider got asked if he could give private racing lessons, as the Prince might be trading in his Triumph motorcyle for a Ducati, just like his older brother.
Riding pillion with Randy Mamola must have given Harry the racing bug, who knows if we’ll ever see the Prince in some club race.

A very impressive promotional video by Triumph that will probably appeal even to people who don’t ride motorcycles. It’s mix between a bike and sports ad with some good old movie clips thrown in.
Marlon Brand in The Wild One on his own personal Triumph Thunderbird, Richard Gere on a Triumph Bonneville in An Officer and A Gentleman, Steve McQueen in the Great Escape, Patrick Swayze in Point Break, Lenny Kravitz and some winning sports stars and Coldplay’s Viva la Vida used as soundtrack.
