The revival of the Ossa Spanish offroad bike brand will see the new Ossa TR280i compete in next year’s World Trial Championship after success at the trial nations event in Polond last weekend. Spain won for the seventh year in a row and the new Ossa trial team was presented at the event. The TR280i is a niche product but like all niche products, it has amazing capabilities and a loyal following. Deliveries of the first models will start in October this year.
The new Ossa trial bike showed off its prowess at the nations event with Marc Colomer, tester and developer, taking the reins of what should be the market’s lightest trial bike around. Ossa management had a meeting with FIM to present its team and its bike, and the upshot is we’ll be seeing a new competitor racing. Ossa will most likely have to make a few changes to its TR280i as its lighter than what regulations allow, but surely it’s easier to make a bike heavier than to get its weight down. Expect to see some excitement next year.

There’s only a little time left before the World Trial Championships in Italy, set for the 28th and 29th of June at Tolmezzo in Friuli Venezia Giulia, where it will arrive after its French round.
The 15 special tests are being set up, which will be at a maximum distance of only three kilometres - impressive for a Trial championship.
During the two days, the technical sector of F.M.I together with Moto Clud Carnico, will organise an event with the S.A.T school, dedicated to children from seven to 14 years of age. It’s a great opportunity to test for free Trial minibikes, together with instructors.
