
With the 8th round of WSBK Championship just around the corner and will take place at the Italian circuit of Misano Adriatico, here is some up date news from the teams and about the riders.
Tommy Hill has split from his Althea Honda team and won’t be racing at Misano this weekend. Hill has been at odds with Italian crew and was not allowed to race at the Miller, even if he the passed medical check after a practice crash where he injured his foot. According to Hill: “There was a lot of politics involved and we just couldn’t get it all together.”
Genesio Bevilacqua, General Manager of Althea Honda has replaced Hill with French rider Matthieu Lagrive who already rides for Althea Honda, while Italian Flavio Gentile will replace Lagrive in Supersport.
Lagrive is a five times Endurance world Champion and at the present is 11th in Supersport and Gentile is the leader in the Italian Superbike Championship.
