Obviously this photoshoot of Marco Melandri posing with the Yamaha Super Ténéré 1200 was done before his shoulder surgery last Thursday morning.
Melandri visited Yamaha’s headquarters at Gerno di Lesmo to get a closer hand look at the factory that is preparing his R1 superbike and choose a bike that he’ll want to use for everyday use and for training (the perks of being a factory rider) and his eyes fell on the imposing adventure bike that he said he’d like to try out as soon as possibile, with his girlfriend Manuela.
How’s the Yamaha rider feeling after his recent surgery? He twitted, “finally home… i need rest and i’m scary too take too much wheight with the family… “ the same problems everyone has during the holiday season.

Last year the bikes were MV Agusta’s and Ducati’s, but Rossi was riding Yamaha’s Super Ténéré 1200 and considering the rain and bad weather his choice of the maxi enduro bike was spot on.
