The Yamaha Super Ténéré is the bike that Yamaha is most investing in at the moment. After the Dolomites Ride sponsored by Yamaha, we got a few details about the future XT1200Z model and where Yamaha wants to take its offroad model.

The Super Tenere comes from a strong tradition of Yamaha competition and the brand has had a boost with the new model. Suddenly, Yamaha has a younger target market, more focused on sportier products and the future bike will reflect that. The new, younger interest in the Super Tenere has meant Yamaha has moved away from a marketing campaign of steady touring and is now looking to new horizons of sports fun and offroad play for younger riders.

The move for a sportier Super Tenere is coming out of Italy and new accessory kits are being developed to highlight the spirit for adventure of the bike. Taking as an example the ST1200 Diapason Racing Tocso (in the gallery), Yamaha is considering making official kits like this with the adjustable windshield, aluminium shields, lighter plates and bigger aluminium luggage accessories.
