Yamaha Motor Italia has presented the Fiat Yamaha Team Replica kit for the YZF-R1 and the YZF-R6. Both the supersports models of 1000cc and 182 hp, and 600cc with 129 hp get the official Fiat Team replica livery to celebrate the 2009 season.

Jorge Lorenzo is the testimonial for this livery, having presented it to the media and completing a few rounds on the track in Italy with the bike. The kit has been designed for the R1 MY 2009 and the R6 MY 2008/2009 with full fairing, front and rear mud guard design, tank and tail with the official Fiat Yamaha Team graphics.

The kit is available from dealerships in Italy at a price of 2,520 euros and can be easily assembled without additional components. For future substitution, the kit can be ordered piece by piece (in case you have a little bingle somewhere).

The Yamaha YZF-R6 for 2010 gets a few updates to its engine management system, increasing torque at lower and mid revs. The muffler has also been redesigned to contribute to the greater acceleration response and smoother progression in torque and power.

While still the same bike in its essentials, the YZF-R6 has been designed to improve on both the road and track handling riding experience it’s famous for. The 2010 model is available in Yamaha Blue, Competition White and Midnight Black.

GPR has designed a new Thunder Slash exhuast for the supersport Yamaha YZF-R6 models for 2008 and 2009. The new exhaust is extremely light, weighing just 1.9 kg, and is designed in “titane style”.

It is available in both racing and standard series versions, and contributes to a 6hp increase in power. The current price is about 300 euros, which is competitive given the style and performance involved.

The GTR Thunder Slash should give the compact R6 a nasty edge. Availability is set from February 10 and for more information go to www.gpr.it.
